From September 15th – September 17th, our own Vid Prijatelj held an oral presentation titled “Commnon genetic background of hypodontia and third molar agenesis” at the 2022 PER-IADR Oral Health Research Congress in Marseille, France. Within he discussed how Recall-by-genotype, a special methodology in association studies based on genetic information, was applied to establish the claim, the results of the first Genome-Wide Association Study on third molar agenesis, and how unconfounded associations can be achieved in oral research – especially relevant where environment can play a large role.
